Today my journey to Alsace and Lorraine starts today, sadly I am sick.
As we all know Alsace and Lorraine have gone between Germany and France as long have they have existed. Bringing both French and German influences into the culture. I'm really excited to explore what this region will have to offer because I know it is going to be exciting.
I am hoping to brew some beer this week; I think that it will be fun and a true tribute to the German influence. Other than that I don’t know exactly what is in store for this week, but I’m ready to explore.
This week I will be reading my usual as well as a new book:
The Food of France by Waverly Root
The Food of France by Sarah Woodward
Culinaria FRANCE edited by Andre Domine
As well as
The complete Joy of Home Brewing by Charlie Papazian
This week I don't have a book specific to Alsace or Lorraine but I do have a huge number of cookbooks to draw from and when I do I will let you know what they are because they are going to be awesome and you will defiantly want to check them out!
